Hapoel Tel Aviv has made significant progress in negotiations with Ish Wainright, who is close to becoming the team’s fifth foreign signing this summer.
After attracting interest from Maccabi Tel Aviv, which did not make an official offer, Hapoel has presented a substantial proposal to the 29-year-old forward. Standing at 1.97 meters, Wainright spent the last three seasons in the USA, playing 118 games with the Phoenix Suns.
In the 2022/23 season, he averaged 4.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. Wainright also has experience in Europe, having played in Germany and France, where he demonstrated strong skills both offensively and defensively.
