The Indiana Pacers remain the preferred destination for Gordon Hayward as a free agent, though it will require the participation of the Boston Celtics in a sign-and-trade, reports New York Times’ Marc Stein. Hayward’s proposed deal with the Pacers would be in the four-year, $100 million range, and sources says that a package may involve Myles Turner and Doug McDermott.
The New York Knicks remain interested in Hayward, according to Stein, but have held firm on a lower salary figure. Knicks initial offer for Hayward is believed to be a 2-year deal.
