Indiana Hoosiers hire Darian DeVries as new head coach

After one season at West Virginia, Darian DeVries takes over as Indiana’s new head coach on a six-year deal

Indiana has named Darian DeVries as its new men’s basketball coach, signing him to a six-year contract.

DeVries spent just one season at West Virginia, leading the team to a 19-13 record before being left out of the NCAA tournament. A former Drake head coach, he guided the Bulldogs to three NCAA tournament appearances in four years.

Now, he is tasked with restoring success to an Indiana program that has missed the last two tournaments.
