The season is over for Turkish center Alperen Sengun of the Houston Rockets. According to Shams Charania, the player suffered a third-degree sprain of his right ankle in the game against the Sacramento Kings and will be out for “several weeks”. Since the Rockets will almost certainly not even make the NBA playoffs, the Turkish player’s season should end prematurely. However, Sengun avoided a serious injury and will not have to undergo surgery.
Sengun averaged 21.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 5 assists per game in 63 appearances for the Houston Rockets this season.
