House Settlement moves closer to approval despite final concerns

The landmark House Settlement between the NCAA and thousands of past, current, and future athletes is nearing approval.

Judge Claudia Wilken acknowledged the deal’s merit but asked both sides to address remaining concerns, including roster limits and fairness in fund distribution.

If finalized, the $2.8 billion agreement will pave the way for direct payments to college athletes and impose a spending cap starting this July.
