FIBA EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers (February 15-23, 2021)

The most important criteria in choosing the hosts, like for the previous window, was health and travel guarantees and compliance with FIBA health protocols, including testing and controlled entry into a secure environment.
Preference was given to candidacies from nations that are scheduled to play two home games in the February window.
Two of the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2021 Qualifiers tournaments, Groups D and F, will be confirmed in the coming days.
The exact schedule of games will be confirmed at a later stage.
The Board was also presented with a review of the November bubbles organized for the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2021 and the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers as well as the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Pre-Qualifiers.
All mini tournaments in Europe were hailed as a great overall success, with only four teams affected out of a total of 73 participating in the 18 events.
