The Charlotte Hornets plan to pick up the team option on the contract of James Borrego for the 21-22 season, reports The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Borrego just spent his third season coaching Charlotte, leading the franchise to the Play-In tournament as the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference.
