Domantas Sabonis continues to produce triple-doubles for the Sacramento Kings, fifth in the Western Conference with 21 wins in 34 games.
Last night the Lithuanian big man scored 24 points with 15 rebounds and 11 assists in the win over the Raptors, garnering high praise from Coach Brown and De’Aaron Fox.
“It seems like it’s a common theme after every game, he’s getting a triple-double. Which is unique, especially for his position,” Kings coach Mike Brown said.
“He does everything for us,” Fox said of Sabonis. “He’s the hub of our offense and even better for us defensively as well. We ask him to do so much for us: rebound, score the ball, play-make, screen. That takes a lot out of a person, but he’s been well-equipped for it and he’s dominated at it.”
Sabonis is second in the league with eight triple-doubles in the regular season, trailing only Nikola Jokic (11).
The Kings center is also the NBA’s best rebounder (12.9 per game), second in double-doubles (30) and 10th in assists (7.6 per game).
