Israeli media report that Hapoel Tel Aviv is eyeing Bayern Munich’s Shabazz Napier as a potential addition for the 2025 season. The EuroCup champions, backed by owner Ofer Janaj, are aiming for a major roster upgrade and Napier’s name has emerged after failed negotiations with Theo Maledon due to financial demands.
Although Napier wasn’t the club’s first option, he’s now seen as a priority target. The American guard averaged 10.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.1 steals during the EuroLeague regular season. In the play-in rounds against Crvena Zvezda and Real Madrid, he increased his scoring to 11.5 points per game.
With a reported budget exceeding €40 million, Hapoel’s ambitions are clear: build a team capable of contending at the highest level in Europe.
