Memphis Grizzlies head coach, Taylor Jenkins, expressed hope that Ja Morant would return to the team’s lineup on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets, pending medical clearance. Morant had served an eight-game suspension and rejoined the Grizzlies, although he did not play in the team’s win against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday in order to focus on his conditioning. Jenkins stated that Morant was welcomed back with open arms and that the team was excited to have him back. The Grizzlies had a 5-3 record in the games that Morant missed.
