Grant and Osman: Panathinaikos makes the derby its own by knocking out Olympiacos

In the Greek league, Panathinaikos remains unbeaten, defeating Olympiacos in the derby, 18 points for former Olimpia Milan Jerian Grant.

Panathinaikos won the derby against Olympiacos 78-72. Coach Ergin Ataman’s team overcame an injury to Yurtseven (who left the game after six minutes) and a long layoff. The win keeps the Greens unbeaten at home with a record of 15 wins and 0 losses. Olympiacos, on the other hand, falls to a record of 13 wins and 2 losses.

The difference makers for Panathinaikos were Jerian Grant and Cedi Osman: 18 points each, with the Turk also grabbing 6 rebounds. Kendrick Nunn also had 14 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

For Olympiacos, Vezenkov’s 20 points and 8 rebounds and Peters’ 11 points were the only two players in double figures.
