Germany has chosen its flag bearer for the Paris 2024 Olympics: it is Dennis Schroder, point guard for Coach Herbert’s national team. After Dirk Nowitzki, Schroder will be only the second German flag bearer in the history of the country to receive this honor at his first Olympic Games. This important recognition reaffirms Schroder’s greatness at home, coming on the heels of his MVP award at the FIBA World Cup 2023, where he was instrumental in his team’s eventual victory.
Schroder will be joined at Friday’s ceremony by German judoka Anna-Maria Wagner.
