Georgios Bartzokas: A painful loss, we didn’t play our game

Olympiacos coach Giorgos Bartzokas admitted Monaco deserved the win: “We crumbled under pressure, and strayed from our identity.”

Speaking after the semifinal loss, Bartzokas called it one of the toughest defeats: “We didn’t handle the pressure. We rushed, we lacked patience, and we lost our structure.”

He pointed out the lack of assists and over-reliance on isolations: “Only 10 assists and 18% from three. This wasn’t the team that led the league all season. We weren’t mentally ready.”

Despite the result, Bartzokas praised the fans: “They supported us beautifully. We gave everything this season, overcame adversity—but tonight, it wasn’t enough.”
