Florida State has named Luke Loucks as the successor to Leonard Hamilton. The former Seminoles point guard and current NBA assistant has signed a five-year deal to lead the program back to prominence.
“It was meant to be,” Loucks told ESPN. Despite his lack of head coaching experience, the 34-year-old impressed FSU’s leadership with his deep basketball knowledge and his time with Golden State, Phoenix, and Sacramento.
“I understand Florida State and what it takes to win here,” Loucks added. A homecoming full of expectations for the new Seminoles leader.
