A week after the official signing of Brice Dessert, SIG Strasbourg announces the recruitment of a second new player: Croatian shooter Filip Kruslin (35 years old – 1.98 m).

Born in Zagreb, Filip Kruslin is a precise shooter and solid defender. Raised at Cibona Zagreb, he participated in the Euro U18 in 2006 and 2007 and the Euro U20 in 2008. He began to stand out during the Final Four of the Euroleague junior in 2006.

Kruslin started showcasing his talent at Dubrovnik during the 2009-10 season. He then played in Bosnia with KK Bosna Meridianbet, before returning to Croatia with Zabok. From 2013 to 2016, he played again for Cibona Zagreb, winning the ABA League in 2014. With Cedevita Zagreb, he won two Croatian championships and three Croatian cups, and was named MVP of the 2019 final.

After a season in Ljubljana, he played four seasons with Dinamo Sassari in Italy, demonstrating his shooting and defensive skills. He decided to join SIG Strasbourg, responding to the requests of coach Laurent Vila.

Sports director Nicola Alberani commented: “With this signing, we add a very important piece to the overall architecture we want for our team. Filip brings us toughness, experience, and will surely be one of the cornerstones of our collective.”
