The Draw ceremony for the inaugural edition of the Youth Basketball Champions League, set to be played in Bursa, Turkey from April 11-15, took place at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball on Friday.
The U18 teams of ten BCL clubs, representing eight different countries, will compete for the trophy in Bursa. In Friday’s Draw they were split into two different groups, as follows:

Oostende CORETEC Basketball Academy (BEL)

UCAM Murcia COC Oftalmología (ESP)
GROUP B
Rytas Vilnius (LTU)
Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg (GER)
Tofas Bursa (TUR)
Bnei Herzliya (ISR)
Lenovo Tenerife (ESP)
Former Turkish international Baris Ermis was unveiled as the ambassador of the April event. Ermis, who spent five seasons of his successful career at Tofas, was on hand at the House of Basketball on Friday to assist with the draw and share his thoughts on the importance of the event for the development of young European players.
The competition in Bursa will commence with three days of group play, then the top two teams of each group will be paired in the Semi-Finals and the winners will go on to the Final to fight for the trophy.
The teams that are placed third and fourth in their respective groups will play in classification games for places 5 to 8, while the fifth-ranked teams in each group will face each other for the 9th spot.
The first-ever champions of the Youth Basketball Champions League will be crowned on Saturday, April 15 in the Tofas Nilüfer Spor arena.
