Following Mr. Demirel’s remarks, there were interventions by Mr. Niang and Mr Zagklis, while Mr. Novak and the chairs of the Competitions, Youth and Women’s Commissions also presented their reports.

Russian, Belarussian clubs not eligible to register
The Board of FIBA Europe decided to apply also to the European club competitions the ruling that FIBA’s Executive Committee and Central Board as well as FIBA Europe Board earlier this year, regarding Russia and Belarus teams.
Specifically, teams from the Russian Basketball Federation and of the Belarusian Basketball Federation are not eligible to register for the upcoming club competition season 2023-2024 – those competitions being FIBA Europe Cup, EuroLeague Women and EuroCup Women.

A report on the progress in the preparation of the event, which takes place in Slovenia and Israel from June 15-25 was presented to the Board.
