Each of the 9 remaining teams will be drawn in Group A, B or C of the competition, along with the corresponding position number sphere, which will determine the order of games during the Group Stage.
Team USA are the current champions, having won the previous edition in 2017 held across three host countries, Argentina, Colombia, and Uruguay.
The FIBA AmeriCup 2022 will be played in Brasilia at the Ginásio Nilson Nelson arena and in Recife at Ginásio de Esportes Geraldo Magalhães. The tournament returns to Brazil for the first time since 1984, when it was held in Sao Paulo.
