Fenerbahce is the first finalist of the 2025 EuroLeague

Fenerbahce is the first finalist of the 2025 EuroLeague. In a tense semifinal at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, Sarunas Jasikevicius’ side defeated reigning champions Panathinaikos 82-76, showcasing mental strength and clutch performances.

Former Olimpia Milano guard Devon Hall earned MVP honors with 18 points, excellent defense, and crucial minutes running the offense. Tarik Biberovic added 15 points, while Nicolò Melli stood out with 9 points, 6 rebounds, and key defensive stops in the second half.

Panathinaikos relied on Cedi Osman’s 22 points and Kendrick Nunn’s 19, but the latter fouled out with over five minutes remaining, stalling the Greek comeback. Jerian Grant contributed 15, while Kostas Sloukas struggled with only 2 points in 15 minutes.

Fenerbahce dominated stretches of the game thanks to its composure. When tensions peaked, McCollum’s perimeter shooting and Melli’s leadership broke the game open. Hall and Biberovic added key buckets as Fenerbahce kept the defending champions at bay.

With this win, the Turkish powerhouse moves one step away from EuroLeague glory, awaiting their opponent in the championship clash.
