Bill Walton, basketball legend, has passed away at the age of 71 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Walton, a two-time champion with UCLA and in the NBA, is remembered as the MVP of the 1977-78 season and a member of the league’s 50th and 75th anniversary teams.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver stated, “Bill was truly one of a kind, with a contagious enthusiasm for life and infinite wisdom. He will be deeply missed by all of us.”
