EuroLeague, what a game at OAKA: Maccabi with the upset, Panathinaikos KO

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv with upset in OAKA in Game 1: Panathinaikos beaten at the end of a wonderful game

Game 1 between Panathinaikos and Maccabi is simply great. The EuroLeague Playoffs started with a bang, as these two teams gave the spectators an exciting and thrilling game. Panathinaikos approached the game well and managed to dig a furrow in the second period, going to rest at +8. Despite this, Maccabi managed to stay in their wake and did not give up, and did so well: in fact, the comeback came thanks to a first-class fourth period. On the other hand, Panathinaikos may have felt the pressure and struggled to contain the visitors’ attack in the final quarter (17-28). The game was decided in the last seconds: Lorenzo Brown scored for +2, Sloukas lost the ball with a few seconds left: Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv played a trick on Ergin Ataman’s Panathinaikos, routing OAKA 87-91.

Panathinaikos was led by 22 points and 6 rebounds from Lessort, 12 points and 13 assists from Sloukas in a high level game marred by a very heavy turnover in the final, and 11 points each from Grant and Grigonis.

Maccabi got 18 points from Colson, 16 from Lorenzo Brown and 15 points with 7 assists from Baldwin IV, who left the game early because of a muscle problem, probably a strain.
