9 – Olimpia Milano
Milano has everything it takes to return to the upper ranks of European basketball, but also plenty of questions that need positive answers.
Mirotic is tasked with leading the team, a responsibility he has avoided in the past but now seems ready to embrace. Shields is poised for a career-defining season, especially if Milano hopes to make the playoffs after two failed attempts.
Ettore Messina has a talented squad, but the development of two point guards will be key. Bolmaro is facing the most important challenge of his career, as is Dimitrijevic. The Macedonian guard has shown flashes of brilliance, but he is still a EuroLeague rookie. And in this role, Milano has struggled over the past two years, with many falling short.
The frontcourt rotation looks strong, even with Melli’s absence, with the impactful duo of McCormack-Nebo and the reliability of LeDay. On the wings, much will depend on the performance levels of Causeur and Brooks.
