A personal-best performance in an impressive home victory allowed Omer Yurtseven of Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens to claim Round 19 MVP honors with a PIR of 34.
Yurtseven led Panathinaikos to a 111-90 win over Virtus Segafredo Bologna with 27 points on 13-of-16 two-pointers and 1-of-2 free throws. He added 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks and 2 fouls drawn for a PIR of 34, the highest in Round 19. This is the first time that Yurtseven has secured the MVP of the Round accolade in his 29-game Turkish Airlines EuroLeague career, and he is the first Panathinaikos player to take home this award this season.
His teammate Kendrick Nunn had a PIR of 33 in that game, getting 27 points on 5-of-6 two-pointers, 5-of-9 three-pointers and 2-of-2 free throws. He also had 4 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal and 5 fouls drawn.
