Fenerbahce made its debut in the 2024-2025 EuroLeague season with an important win over Olympiacos. The big game of the day went in the direction of Istanbul, with the Turkish club winning 82-71 at the end of a challenge that saw the hosts pull away in the final quarter to win 25-15. It was an important sign of mental toughness for Jasikevicius’ side, who lost Scottie Wilbekin to a serious injury (video here).
Fenerbahce got 19 points and 7 assists from Wade Baldwin IV, 15 from Nigel Hayes-Davis and 10 points and 9 rebounds from Bonzie Colson. Former Olimpia Milano got 5 points and 7 rebounds from Nicolò Melli and 5 points and 4 assists from Devon Hall.
Moses Wright’s 15 points and 7 rebounds, Shaquille McKissic’s 13 points and Sasha Vezenkov’s 11 points were not enough for Olympiacos.
