Euroleague players who attended conference call yesterday unanimously against resuming season
Euroleague has been surprised by the players’ decision to not restart the season.
All Euroleague players that attended the conference call with Euroleague yesterday are unanimously against the resuming of the season suspended due to Coronavirus. A source told Sportando that Euroleague has been surprised by the players’ unanimous stance.
Tomorrow morning vote will see the 11 A-licensed teams decide whether to resume both Euroleague and Eurocup season. Sportando has been told that Efes and Maccabi, Real and Barcelona are in favour of a resumption; while Milano, CSKA, Fenerbahce and both Greek sides Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are against. A majority of six votes is needed by Euroleague to go ahead with the restart of both Euroleague and Eurocup seasons.
