The EuroLeague is reportedly looking to sell a minority stake in the company, and according to reports from Ivan Levingston and Samuel Agini of the Financial Times, SURJ Sports Investment is said to be interested in buying it. This is an investment fund run by the Public Investment Fund, known by the acronym PIF as it is the fund that owns football club Newcastle United and was also offered to Inter Milan before the change of ownership to Oaktree Capital Group. A minority stake in the EuroLeague is valued at around 1 billion euros. Negotiations are said to be at an advanced stage, although SURJ Sports Investment has a rival in BC Partners, a British investment firm.
