EuroLeague Medical Officer: “Only 33 players played all the games”

Ignacio Muro, the Medical Officer of the EuroLeague, made interesting statements during the ELPA International Congress regarding the performance of the players this season.

Ignacio Muro’s words: “Only 33 out of 306 players were able to play all the games this EuroLeague season. The number drops to an even more miserable 7 out of 278 if you take into account the 2022-23 season”.

In addition, many stakeholders in European basketball believe that the EuroLeague schedule, combined with the windows for national teams and the double commitment that players have between European cups and national championships, “puts a strain on the players.
