Dubai Basketball should be close to getting a multi-year license to participate in the EuroLeague. The club is competing in the ABA Liga this season, a league in which it is third in the standings behind Partizan Belgrade and Buducnost, with Crvena Zvezda fourth instead. According to reports from Donatas Urbonas, Dubai Basketball’s presence in the EuroLeague is widely expected, but still lacks the approval of the 13 shareholder clubs.
On the other hand, Crvena Zvezda, Partizan Belgrade and some other clubs are in talks with EuroLeague to get a three-year license for a total fee of 5 million euros, a figure that is open to negotiation.
