Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv are reportedly close to signing point guard Saben Lee, who will leave Manisa to join the Israeli club and play in the EuroLeague. Eurohoops reports that the parties have reached an agreement and that Maccabi will pay a 150,000 buyout to Manisa to free the player, while Saben Lee has been assured of a very good salary, so much so that he will forget his worries about the situation in the country.
Saben Lee is expected to play in the Basketball Champions League against FMP Belgrade on Wednesday before joining Maccabi Tel Aviv at the end of the week. Fenerbahce, who are looking for a replacement for Scottie Wilbekin, are also interested in the player.
