In the third round of the EuroCup, Besiktas and Hapoel Tel Aviv met in a match that saw the Israelis open the scoring from the outset. Indeed, Besiktas struggled defensively to contain their opponents as Hapoel scored more than 100 points. The final score was 87-101 in a game that was virtually over by the 30th minute.
Besiktas scored 17 points from Needham, 14 from Sleva and 12 from Terry.
Hapoel Tel Aviv got 24 points from Jonathan Motley, 16 points and 11 rebounds from Patrick Beverley and 16 points from Marcus Foster.
