Anadolu Efes overcame adversity and injuries to pull off a dramatic 97-96 overtime win over Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade, clinching a play-in berth and boosting their playoff hopes in the EuroLeague.

Despite a tough week marked by illness for Shane Larkin, who suffered a cut during the game, and a serious Achilles injury to Rodrigue Beaubois, Efes battled with grit. They entered the final minute of regulation up by 7, but Crvena Zvezda roared back to force overtime after Isaiah Canaan’s clutch triple and a coast-to-coast layup from Yago dos Santos tied it at 88-88.

In the extra period, Larkin hit a crucial 3-pointer, and Efes led by 6 with under 90 seconds left. Crvena Zvezda made it a one-point game, but Codi Miller-McIntyre’s last-second shot missed, sealing the win for Efes.

Elijah Bryant, despite missing a key free throw late, was instrumental, while PJ Dozier and Darius Thompson contributed in key stretches. Crvena Zvezda fought back behind Canaan and Kalinic, but ultimately fell short.

Efes improves to 17-16 and will finish the regular season with hopes of reaching the playoffs still alive.
