Luca Banchi’s Anadolu Efes put on a clinic in Belgrade, dismantling Partizan with an emphatic 97-65 win in Round 30 of the EuroLeague. It’s a pivotal victory in the playoff race, improving Efes to 16-14 while dropping Partizan to 15-15.
Efes came out strong with an 8-point lead in the first 4 minutes thanks to Thompson, and after a brief Partizan reaction, Bryant helped close the first quarter ahead 18-24. The second period was total dominance: Dozier was unstoppable, Larkin found rhythm, and Efes surged to a 21-point halftime lead (33-54).
Thompson (19 points, 5/5 from three) continued to shine in the second half, stretching the margin to +32 midway through the third. Bryant added 18 points in a team effort defined by elite efficiency: 76% on twos, 46% from deep, 93% at the line.
For Partizan, it was a forgettable night: 5/30 from three and just 11 points each from Ntilikina, Bonga and Jones. Efes, meanwhile, sends a strong message to the rest of Europe.
