Draymond Green has officially thrown his hat into the Defensive Player of the Year race with a dominant defensive display against Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In the Golden State Warriors’ 104-93 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, Green held Antetokounmpo to 20 points on just 5-for-16 shooting, marking the Bucks star’s worst shooting game in two seasons.
Green recorded 4 blocks, 2 steals, and disrupted Milwaukee’s offense all night. “I don’t see many players impacting the game defensively like I do,” Green said postgame. “With Wemby out, this award is up for grabs. I’ll keep building my case over these next 13 games.”
