Dorell Wright retires from basketball at age 34

Wright calls it a career after playing 12 years in the NBA and four overseas

Veteran guard Dorell Wright announced his retirement from basketball at the age of 34.

Wright has spent 12 seasons in the NBA. He played six years for the Miami Heat, winning a championship in 2006, then he had stints with Golden State, Philadelphia, Portland and again Miami in the 2016 playoffs. He then moved overseas, playing one season in China, with the Beijing Royal Fighters, and three in Europe with Igokea, Brose Bamberg and Lokomotiv Kuban.
