Deshaun Thomas signed a one-year deal with Bayern Munich, the german team announced.

The 29-year-old forward is returning to Europe after a year in Japan (16.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Toyota Alvark) and will play his seventh EuroLeague season with Bayern Munich.

“The last season in Japan was an adventure, but afterwards I quickly had the EuroLeague in my head again, it was a must for me,” says Thomas, who is currently still with his family in his home in Columbus, Ohio. “Munich is now a very good opportunity for me. Because they were recently only one shot away from the Final Four and that’s exactly what it’s going to be about again: About these tight battles in the EuroLeague with a strong organization, that’s what I like. I am sure I have a lot of experience, but above all I am a hard worker who wants to win. I can score, but I fight just as hard for rebound and defense”.
