Derrick Rose, the former NBA MVP, has announced his retirement after 16 seasons in the league. Drafted first overall by the Chicago Bulls in 2008, Rose made history as the youngest MVP ever at 22 years old in 2011.

During his time in Chicago, he averaged 19.7 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game over seven seasons. Rose later played for the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, and Memphis Grizzlies.

Despite injuries that affected his athleticism, he continued his career, appearing in 723 regular-season games. Rose expressed that he is ready for the next phase of his life, aiming to pursue new dreams and share his personal growth.
