DeMar DeRozan admitted that De’Aaron Fox’s potential trade could affect his future with the Sacramento Kings. On Run It Back, former NBA player Lou Williams asked if Fox’s departure would make him rethink his commitment to the team.
“Yeah, it’s tough because before I came here, those were the guys I talked to—Fox, Sabonis, and Monk,” DeRozan said. “They made it easy for me to decide to play here. If a key player like Fox leaves, not knowing the future, it does make things tough.”
DeRozan joined the Kings this past offseason via sign-and-trade from the Chicago Bulls. He has two more years left on his contract after this season for $50.5 million, but the final year (2026-27) is only partially guaranteed for $10 million.
