According to Adrian Wojnarowski, DeAndre Ayton has accepted the Indiana Pacers’ offer sheet of 133 million over four years.
The big man is a restricted free agent, so the Phoenix Suns have 48 hours to decide whether or not to match the offer.
From the moment Ayton signs the deal a sign-and-trade will no longer be possible, and, should Phoenix match the offer, they will not be able to trade him until Jan. 15.
Ayton produced 17.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game last season.
RFA center Deandre Ayton has agreed to a four-year, $133M maximum offer sheet with the Indiana Pacers, his agents Nima Namakian (Innovate Sports) and Bill Duffy (BDA Sports + WME Sports) tell ESPN. The Phoenix Suns have 48 hours to match the largest offer sheet in NBA history.
