Paris Basketball tonight will face Panathinaikos at ACCOR Arena at 8:30 p.m.

Paris Basketball president David Kahn  during an interview with L’Equipe spoke about the club’s significant budget increase–from about 9.2 million euros to 19-, while calling Paris ‘The epicenter of European basketball”.

“We want to get to the point where our revenue will be equal to our expenses. We’re not there yet. We would have already reached that goal with a permanent EuroLeague license…. Again, this is not about putting pressure on anyone, just providing a framework, a reference. What is lacking in basketball, both domestic and European, is a strategy more focused on revenues related to television rights. The popularity of basketball in Europe has never been higher, even more so after the Olympics. We need to take advantage of this momentum and work all together to build an economic model that helps narrow the gap between this cultural power and the insufficient business it generates. Because thinking about it to this day it is incomprehensible, inexplicable.”

The French club is still looking for its first win in the Euroleague after losing the first two games by a total of 8 points.
