Daniel Oturu to join Anadolu Efes

Oturu is averaging 20.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.6 blocks per game in BSL.

Merkezefendi coach Zafer Aktas confirmed the move of center Daniel Oturu to Anadolu Efes.

His words after the 83-81 win with Darussafaka.

“It was a complicated day for us. In particular, Oturu’s departure affects the team emotionally, and it also affected him, who did his best to help the team. But in the end we won and we are sending Daniel to the Euroleague. We are happy, I think he is happy too. He is the fourth player that my team and I have sent to the Euroleague. It’s really an honor as a coach. But obviously it’s a situation that hurts us to ensure the continuity of the team.”
