Damian Lillard cleared of DVT, off blood thinners, nearing return

The Bucks star won’t play Game 1 vs Indiana but could return during the playoffs

Damian Lillard has been cleared of deep vein thrombosis and is no longer on blood-thinning medication, the Milwaukee Bucks confirmed.

While he will miss Game 1 of the series against Indiana, doctors say his recovery has been “unprecedented.”

Coach Doc Rivers called it a potential “career-threatening situation” now turned into a blessing. Lillard averaged 24.9 points and 7.1 assists before the medical setback.
