Dallas Mavericks’ Anthony Davis out multiple weeks with adductor strain

The Mavericks star could miss up to a month following injury against Houston

Anthony Davis will be sidelined for multiple weeks due to a left adductor strain, sources told Shams Charania and Tim MacMahon of ESPN. Davis exited the Mavericks’ win over the Houston Rockets late in the third quarter after posting 26 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 blocks in just 31 minutes.

The injury comes shortly after Davis joined Dallas in the blockbuster trade that sent Luka Doncic to the Lakers. Although Davis downplayed the severity postgame, sources suggest his absence could last up to a month.

The Mavericks are also monitoring P.J. Washington (right ankle sprain), Max Christie (right shoulder strain), and Dante Exum (left Achilles tightness), all listed as questionable for the upcoming game against the Sacramento Kings.
