Dairis Bertans: In Saratov locker rooms it smelled like someone died

Latvian Khimki guard Dairis Bertans said it was difficult for him to play in the VTB United League after the Euroleague games.

“It is difficult to get together for these meetings, if after two difficult games in the Euroleague you fly to Saratov, where the temperature in the hall is + 8 degrees, and in the locker rooms it smells like someone died a week ago,” Bertans tells Diena.

In the 2019/2020 season, Bertans in the Euroleague played only seven parts due to injuries. On average, he spent 17 minutes on the parquet, scoring 4.6 points on average.

In the VTB United League, the Latvian defender played 13 games and averaged 8.8 points, made 2.8 assists, spending 20 minutes on the pitch.

Recall that Bertans’ contract with Khimki will be valid for another season.
