CSP Limoges announces move to Basketball Champions League

French side is the 5th Eurocup team to switch competition for next season.

French powerhouse CSP Limoges has officially announced that they will participate, from next season, in Basketball Champions League. In the official release, Limoges underlines that the agreement is for three season -pending league results- with the chance to extend for further seasons.

Limoges president Yves Martinez has commented: “We are very pleased with this commitment to the Basketball Champions League over several seasons, because this visibility in the medium term allows the Club to register its international future in continuity and stability. Our choice to join the BCL responds to several motivations; in the first place that of joining a competition which has managed to rise to the highest level in Europe, which has consolidated its development by the integration of common investors with the NBA, and which counts with major European basketball teams like Darussafaka , Bilbao, Tofas Bursa or Rytas Vilnius; then, to be consistent with our league, the LNB, affiliated to FIBA, organizer of the BCL and whose calendar is built in accordance with that of the Jeep Elite; finally because between Limoges CSP and Europe it is a very beautiful story that lasts, and whatever the context, we must make it last!”
