A native of Zrenjanin began playing professional basketball in his hometown at the age of 16, then he left to Vrsac, and in 2015 he became the European champion with the Serbian U20 team, after which the first contract with Crvena Zvezda was signed – however, two more year he played for FMP on loan.
In Zvezda, the player spent five seasons as one of the main players – he started 31 out of 109 Euroleague games played during this period, averaged 19.2 minutes, 6.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 38% three-pointers.
Davidovac averaged 5.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists in 28 Euroleague games, 6.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists in 30 Adriatic League games.
Emil Rajkovic, CSKA head coach:
Dejan is a versatile player that can be used on more positions and his main value is his high IQ, passing abilities and ability to stretch the floor. He can be seen as a point forward who can dribble, shoot and pass the ball. In his Euroleague seasons with Zvezda he showed that he is a team first player who is not selfish but likes to connect the guards and the bigs. I wish him to have a successful role in our system and in our club.
Dejan Davidovac, CSKA forward:
I am very excited to join legendary club, CSKA. I have never played out of Serbia, and I’m happy that my first step abroad will be in the team with that kind of reputation. It’s a big honor for me to continue Serbian history in CSKA, after names like Ivkovic, Krstic, Teodosic… All of us will have big motivation next year, to get VTB League trophy back.
