Croatia is in the stratosphere on the first day of the Pre-Olympics in Greece, dominating against Luka Doncic’s Slovenia. The final score was 92-108, which came at the end of a game with no history, where the Croatians were the talk of the town right from the first period, leading by +15. A lot of ball movement and choral play allowed Saric and his teammates to show their full offensive potential: 34 team assists and 13 made threes (out of 28 total attempts) knocked Slovenia out.
For Croatia, Dario Saric made history with a triple-double (only Doncic had done it in a pre-Olympic game, and he did it again tonight) of 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Filipovic’s 21 points and Zubac’s 18 points and 8 rebounds completed the job.
Doncic’s triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists (but with a very bad 0/9 shooting from three-point line), Prepelic’s 19 and Josh Nebo’s 12 with 9 rebounds were not enough for Slovenia.
