Cooper Flagg: “NBA is a dream of mine” after blur of freshman year

Duke star wins Naismith Award and is expected to declare for the NBA Draft as the projected No. 1 pick

Cooper Flagg capped off his freshman season at Duke by winning the Naismith Award, adding to his Wooden and AP Player of the Year honors.

“This whole year has been a blur,” Flagg said. He hasn’t declared for the NBA Draft yet but is projected as the No. 1 pick, with ESPN comparing him to stars like Tatum and Pippen. “Playing in the NBA would be a blessing — it’s a dream of mine,” he said.
