Common says judges thought it was going to be a tie, ‘but somebody didn’t do it right’

Rapper Common said the Slam Dunk judges thought were planning to give Aaron Gordon a 48 after his final dunk in order to have a tied dunk-off. Instead, Gordon got a 47 as a result of two 10s by Common and Candace Parker, and three 9s from Dwyane Wade, Chadwick Boseman and Scottie Pippen.

“We thought it was going to be tied. We were like, ‘This is a tie’ …But somebody didn’t do it right. I don’t know who it is,” Common told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
