The Chicago Bulls are not forgetting Derrick Rose, one of the franchise’s all-time greats: in fact, according to a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania, the franchise has decided to pay tribute to its former player by retiring his No. 1 jersey for the upcoming season. Derrick Rose played eight seasons for the Chicago Bulls and became the youngest MVP in NBA history.
Derrick Rose himself had stated, somewhat ironically, that he did not want a statue when the last commemorative statues were created, but that he would rather see the jersey retired by the Chicago Bulls.
