Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball had to leave Sunday’s game early due to a strained right ankle. Ball was injured after colliding with Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic in the first half.

He landed awkwardly and needed assistance to get to the locker room, where he remained down for some time. Last season, Ball missed the Hornets’ final 19 games due to a fractured right ankle.

He had also experienced multiple sprains to his left ankle in the previous season.
